Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at our wire manufacturing facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment. 
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. 
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize production disruptions. 
  • Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize impact on production schedules. 
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history. 
  • Train and mentor others to enhance their skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance and repair. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or process improvements. 
  • Oversee the procurement of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance activities, ensuring optimal inventory levels. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment.  
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. 
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. 
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments. 
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance activities. 
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus. 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
