Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician at our wire manufacturing facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize impact on production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Train and mentor others to enhance their skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or process improvements.
- Oversee the procurement of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance activities, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance activities.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
